Good news: I figured out how the hackers were getting in, and stopped it.

Bad news: It was my own damn fault.

Basically, I changed a variable name in one place, but didn't change it in another, so the relevant code was looking for a variable that didn't exist in order to verify that a user can only go where they're supposed to go. As such, anyone who met the right conditions would automatically be allowed in. I updated the variable name, and now that hole has been sealed.

Thank you to netMASA for letting me know about today's defacement fast enough that I was able to figure it out. Also, for those who are interested, transcripts for the most recent episodes of Recreation and the ODST videos will come once I've had time to write them.

It seems someone has nothing better to do than to deface Rooster Tooths, as I just had to restore the news entries after November 28. How can people honestly have so little to do?

Anyway, everything's been restored and measures have been taken to prevent it from happening again. In the meantime, you all get to look forward to new RvB transcripts by the end of the month. Pongo happy!

Just like that. And fast, too. See what happens when there's only a reasonable amount of Spanish to worry about? Recreation transcripts will come whenever I get to them. The hard one's out of the way now, so I should be able to catch them all up in a single night at some point.

It seems there are people out there with nothing better to do than hack unimportant websites on the web. Not that Rooster Tooths is unimportant, but comparitively, there are so many other sites that would make more sense. I guess it speaks to their lack of ability that all they can mess with is little sites like this one.

Never fear, though, as I've been able to restore the news completely from backups. Excelsior!

Hi everyone, I just redirected the nameservers for roostertooths.com, and created a news item on the site to welcome you to it. It could take up to 48 hours for the change to reach the nameservers you yourself use, so if you visit the site and don't see the news item I just put up, it just hasn't gotten to you yet.

Check them out, Chapters 1 and 2 and the Valentine's Day PSA. I've also updated Sarge's bio with some new information from Chapter 2, and removed some stuff that happened in Season 1 from the bio.

So the site is now up to date. ...hookers and beer for all?

That's right, as of today there's a brand new Rooster Teeth miniseries, this time in live action and starring Barenaked Lady Ed Robertson! Since there's a new show, that means there's a bunch of new content here on Rooster Tooths.

So, be sure to check out the Captain Dynamic transcripts, incomplete cast and crew info and downloads. Sorry about the cast and crew info not being complete yet, but the show is very new and some of the information hasn't been released yet.

I hope to upload the Relocation transcripts later tonight; I have the first two done, just have to take care of the third and toss them up.

Well, on Monday we're going to get some new Red vs Blue. As luck would have it, I've taken it upon myself to write up some previews of how the first episode may go, as well as the Valentine's Day 2009 PSA. Thanks to the careful eye of BuckeyeDon, the colons have been added to the RvB transcripts for episodes 95-100 and the Going Global PSA, as well as the Spanish translations for those videos. If you find any other errors at any point, just let me know and I'll try to correct them in short order.

Transcripts, for me. New stuff is nice, but I generally come here just for the transcripts and the polls, when they are open.

The transcripts need to be brought up to date. Since those and the Red vs Blue character profiles are the reasons I come her ein the first place. ^^
